Francois Monnet, former Credit Suisse senior executive, joins property fintech Estating.

Founded in 2020, Estating allows investors hassle-free access to global opportunities in real estate by adding a new financial product propelling the democratization of real estate investing. Indeed, Estating RELINC (Real Estate linked Certificate) enables clients to select and invest in properties directly from their brokerage account and in small ticket sizes. By doing so, Estating allows Wealth Managers and Financial Advisors to add real estate as a bankable product to their offering, boost their assets under management and offer their clients a highly attractive and innovative product.

“Investing in real estate is core to wealth creation for every wealth management client. Estating offers now the ability to invest in fractions in prime properties selected individually and build a global portfolio tailored to each client’s personal needs. This is groundbreaking. Especially as it comes inside the ease and protection of the existing financial systems, includes the client’s trusted advisor and is delivered seamlessly.” says Francois. “I am thrilled to join Estating, act as advisor to the Founders and contribute to their growth path.”

Francois is a Swiss national who held leadership positions at Credit Suisse´s Private Banking in the Asia Pacific Region over the last 14 years. In his last mandate as co-head of CS PB Asia and CEO of CS Hong Kong Branch, he drove CS North Asia franchise to new heights, doubling its already large asset base, opening up China and Korea onshore businesses and achieving for each individual market under his remit – China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan – industry recognitions as Best Private Bank. On the personal front, Francois was awarded CS Group CEO Leadership award in Innovation for the launch of the Digital Private Bank in Asia in 2014 as well as the Best Private Banker of the Year accolade in 2018 from APB magazine for his entrepreneurial drive and strategic execution. Prior to Credit Suisse, Francois headed Eastman Kodak´s Consumer Division as CEO in Asia Pacific and held similar leadership roles in a handful of markets in Europe during his eleven years tenure. He retired from his last corporate role in December 2021 and is now focussing as an active investor on Investments and Advisory Mandates.

“Francois´s wealth and private banking experience and his strong network will add great value to Estating. He will advise the founders on their growth path and help enter the Asia Pacific region” explains Martin Halblaub, the Chairman of Estating. “We very much welcome Francois to the Estating family and are proud that he actively joins our journey”.

About Estating:
Estating is a property fintech with offices in Luxembourg, Berlin, Erivan, Miami and Zurich. The company was founded in 2020 and has set itself the objective of offering everybody the possibility to invest in real estate easily. Estating has developed the Real Estate Linked Certificate (RELINC): a security under Luxembourg law with its own international securities identification number (ISIN) which allows a person to acquire participations in selected individual properties from the trusted environment of their securities account – without the hassle of the traditional process. An investment in a selected property is therefore just as easy and transparent as an investment in specific stocks and bonds.
